Creating a Winter Bucket list to help fight those Winter Blues

So often we are creating fun bucket lists for summer, fall, holidays, etc. and totally leave out winter! A time when we may just need a bucket list most! It is hard to think of fun things to look forward to during the short days and long months of January, February and March, but today we want to help you with that winter bucket list to get you through the final stretch of winter. We are going to break it down so creating your own winter bucket list will be a breeze!

First things first, ask yourself if there are any new hobbies that you want to try out? Winter is a great time to give these a try! Here are some hobbies that are being added to our Bucket list!

  • Give sourdough a try

  • Take an online painting class

  • Snow Shoeing

  • Skiing/Snowboarding

  • Trying a new exercise class

  • Using a creative mind to repurpose through thrifting

  • Try saving money with couponing

  • Stretching our creativity with bullet journaling

These are just a few things that can be on your bullet list through new hobbies!

Next, think of some fun places you want to travel to. This can be through day trips, weekend trips or even just across town! Traveling in winter can be intimidating, but with proper planning it can be just as fun and memorable as summer time travel.

After hobbies and travel, we like to think of fun, new places to try for food or drinks! Is there a restaurant in town that you have been dying to try? A cute new coffee house near where you live? Maybe even a karaoke bar that looks fun but you have been a little intimidated to try out. Put them on the list and get excited!

Finally, we like to add books and movies to our list. Is there a book you haven’t had the time to read or a new movie or show your friends are talking about that you haven’t sat down to watch yet? Add them! Make a movie night fun with popcorn and treats or have a quiet night by the fire reading your new book with your favorite night time drink and dessert. Make it a special night whether you choose to read or cuddle up on the couch with the t.v. Do your best to make this more than just another night at home.

Once you have made your winter bucket list, don’t forget to use our Bucket List page to document all of it! Write them down, rate them and keep this list for next year! Anything you didn’t finish, or if there is something you absolutely LOVED and wanted to do again be sure to add it to your next year’s list.

We hope these ideas helped you get excited for the final stretch of winter. We know it can be long and dark - but now we all have something fun to look forward to! Be sure to share any of your favorite winter bucket list items you have on your list below!
