How to Use: Year at a Glance

Golden Coil Customizable Planners Year at a Glance Page

Getting a birds-eye view of your year can make the rest of your planning much easier, which is why we’ve included 3 different Year at a Glance pages for you to choose from. Let’s walk you through a few ideas for how to use them!

Golden Coil Customizable Planners Year at a Glance 1 Page

YEAR AT A GLANCE 1

This layout divides each month into a column, which makes it handy for listing important dates. On the left, we’ve written a list of birthdays to track and on the right we’ve filled out important events and deadlines throughout the year. You could also use this layout to break down your goals into a monthly checklist or to write a quick journal of what happened that month in bulleted list form.

YEAR AT A GLANCE 2

This option divides each month into a row, which makes it more suited to sentences and longer notes. In our example on the left, we’ve broken a year-long project of remodeling a home into monthly to-do lists, assigning each room or area to a month. We’ve used the second example on the right to model using this page as a monthly journal. With less space, you can encourage yourself to just record the highlights with less pressure to write the perfect entry.

YEAR AT A GLANCE 3

Our last Year at a Glance page breaks each month into columns with a slot for each day. We have two favorite ways to use this. First, we like using this page as a menstrual tracker by coloring in the corresponding days. It gives you a great overall view of your cycle throughout the year. You could also customize your tracker with a specific color code to give yourself more detailed data.

We also love using this page to track daily expenses, whether that be for personal or business finances. You could use highlighters to flag the days you went over budget and celebrate the days you spent $0!
