Are you looking forward to time with family this weekend celebrating the 4th of July? We know this year is different than others, but if you’re part of the Golden Coil family, you’re definitely a planning pro which is exactly what you’ll need to pull off a perfectly enjoyable and safe gathering with family and friends. Our Event Planning page makes this a breeze! Here are some ideas for modifying your celebrations to keep everyone healthy:

Keep it small

We know it’s a bummer to keep the guest list short, but you can trust that with less people at your gathering you’ll have more time to have quality conversations while keeping everyone safe. You can use the right side of your Event Planning page to keep track of who you’ve invited and if they’ve RSVP’ed.

Be creative

You may have to change some of the activities you do together, but you’ll still have plenty of fun! Outdoor lawn games are a great way to play while still maintaining a 6’ distance. (You can place signs around your yard as friendly reminders!) We love bocce ball, cornhole, and water volleyball! Use your Events Planning page to keep track of supplies you’ll need and be sure to make a clear schedule of activities.

Encourage best practices

Ask your guests to bring as many of their own supplies as possible, such as blankets, towels, reusable utensils, masks, hand sanitizer, and sunscreen. You could have an outdoor picnic where everyone brings their own food or if you want to provide lunch for your guests, consider plating the food for them to avoid multiple contacts of buffet serving utensils.
