Getting the Most Out of the Holidays

The holidays are here and we know it’s a busy time! There’s a lot on your plate like planning special meals, organizing family activities, and putting together gifts for everyone. We wanted to share a few things on our lists that might make your holidays more organized and extra meaningful—we want to make sure you get the most out of this special time of the year!

1. ORDER YOUR 2021 PLANNER NOW - If you haven’t added this to-do item to your list yet, now is the time! We’ve been notified by UPS that there may be delays in shipping due to the increased amount of online shopping this year, so the sooner you order your planner the better. Especially if you’d like it to start on January 1st!

2. USE THE HOLIDAY GIFTING PAGE - This handy page is the perfect place to keep tabs on your gift giving. Use it to jot down hints you hear throughout December and then track which gifts belong to which family members as well as price and purchase date. You could even add a cryptic color code to help you remember where you hid presents!

3. SCHEDULE ME TIME - This is an important one to have on your mind as we move into the holidays! There’s a lot to do and it’s important that you have the energy you need to take care of your loved ones. That will come from prioritizing your self-care, so as you plan out your schedule leading up to the holidays, make sure you’re finding spaces to schedule in the time you need to recharge yourself.

4. SHOW EXTRA LOVE - It’s been a hard year and some of us won’t be able to gather with those we love. But, creativity thrives within restraints, so try some new ways to show love to the people in your life! You could write a heartfelt letter to those you won’t get to see in person, telling them how grateful you are for them and what impact they’ve had in your life. You could reach out to other friends and acquaintances by sending them thank-you cards or you could find ways to serve in your community, especially since there will be many struggling during the holidays.

5. ORGANIZE PHOTOS - When you’re gathered with family, it’s a great time to work on projects together and nothing’s quite as nostalgic and meaningful as organizing photos. If you have old prints and negatives, you can work together as a team to sort them by date. Be sure to digitize your favorite finds and watch a slideshow together when you’ve finished!
