A Cozy Fall Bucket List

Whether or not temperatures are cooling where you are, we are feeling the shift of the seasons. It’s getting dark earlier and the pull for coziness is coming. Today we’re sharing some fun ideas for your fall season. Steal your favorite ideas from this list and jot them down in your planner. Lean into this cozy season, be present, and enjoy slowing down this fall.

Think about organizing an article or cookbook club.

Host a backyard bonfire evening.

Attend a fall sporting event.

Choose a big novel to dive into.

Spend some time with your planner to check in your goals and define the remaining months of the year for yourself.

Deliver a batch of homemade soup and bread to a neighbor or friend.

Make a cozy evening ritual with a hot shower and a mug of tea.

Visit an orchard or pumpkin patch.

Do you know how to knit? Consider learning with a simple scarf project

Go on a hike.

Collect beautiful fall leaves.

Take a long walk and listen to an audiobook

Ever tried a capsule wardrobe? Simplify your closet this season with a handful of versatile pieces to make getting dressed easy!

Organize your winter gear (try on boots, snow pants, and gear and donate anything you don’t need anymore).

Make a list of organization projects you want to finish before the holidays.

Clean up flower beds and plant spring bulbs.

Make a cozy tea blend and deliver it to friends.

Simmer some water, cinnamon stick, orange slices, cloves, and ground nutmeg on your stovetop. Don’t let it burn!

Cozy up your home with soft blankets and candles.

Don’t dread that it’s getting dark earlier! Right before the sun goes down, skip the overhead lights and turn on table lamps. Light a favorite candle too to ease into the darker evening.

Have you ever made homemade chai? It’s a treat!

Jump in some leaves.

Make a batch of chili and host friends for dinner.

Bake an apple dessert

Watch some fall movies. You’ve Got Mail is one of our favorites!

Set up a puzzle table and work on a jigsaw puzzle in the evenings.

Do some fall cleaning. Open the windows and let the fresh air in.

Create a thankful tree. Collect some fall branches and place them in a vase in your home. Cut out some leaf shaped papers and use these to write down things you are thankful for and hang them on the tree. Encourage your family to add to the tree each day.

Hope you’re feeling inspired as our seasons are changing. What are you looking forward to this fall? Does your family have a favorite fall tradition? Let us know in the comments!
