Frequently Asked Questions 2023

Welcome to 2023! We are thrilled to begin a new year of planning here at Golden Coil! Over the course of 2022 we compiled all of our most Frequently Asked Questions so that we could start off 2023 answering each of them for you!

1.  How do I add a dated monthly planning page to my planner?

There is no need to add a dated monthly planning page to your planners! This is added automatically each month! You will see this reflected in your preview at the end of the customization process.

 

2. How do I add pocket page?

Like our dated monthly spread, this is not something you need to add separately. This is included in all Golden Coil notebooks and planners.

 

3. Can I log into your website and order the exact same thing I did last year, but with updated dates?

At this time, our website does not allow for customers to create profiles in a way that you would be able to reorder the same exact planner as the year prior with updated dates. You will need to customize your planner from scratch each year! This can be fun, because each year we add additional layouts and +pages to our site that may end up being the perfect fit you!

 

4. How long will take for my planner to ship? 

You can expect your planner to ship within 5-7 business days from your order date. Then please allow another 2-3 business days for shipping (for all orders within the U.S.). At this time we do not offer expedited shipping.

 

5. Can I rearrange where my “+pages” appear? 

Last year we came out with our “Advanced Settings” tab, which can be found on the right hand side of the +pages tab. This feature will allow you to customize the order in which your +pages appear if you have multiple +pages in a given section. However, it does not allow you to change the location at which the +pages will be placed (ex. start of the month vs end of the month)

 

6.    Can I add my extra pages in multiple locations? (i.e. start and end of planner)

No, unfortunately, we are unable to add the same +page in multiple locations. Currently we can insert extra pages at the start of your planner, end of your planner, monthly, or weekly.

 

7. I am trying to choose a Sunday start but my weeks are still beginning with Monday – how can I change this?

Our Sunday Start feature only applies to our dated monthly layouts. All of our weekly/daily layouts will still begin with Monday.

 

8. I am trying to create a daily planner, but I am over the page count limit. How do I work around this/can I pay for the extra pages?

We are unable to print/bind planners that exceed our 242 page limit, as this is the total amount of pages that will fit on the largest coil that we offer. A planner that has 242 pages is approximately 1.5 inches thick - I'm sure you can imagine a planner with any more pages would be very sizable! Unfortunately, the only way to increase the number of pages in our planners and notebooks would be for us to lessen our paper quality, which is something that we are unwilling to do. 

If you are creating a daily planner and are having trouble staying within the page limit we suggest shortening your planner to be approximately 6 months in length. If you would like to have a year's length planner, we suggest planning weekly and then adding extra pages that have the elements of the daily planning pages that you love. You may need to consider adding pages at the start or end of your planner instead of monthly or weekly as well in order to meet the page limit.

 

9. I can’t seem to checkout – it won’t let me move on to the billing page. How do I proceed?

Make sure to double-check that your full name is in the first box and that your email is in the second box at checkout! We often find that customers will put their last name in the email field. Doing this will prevent you from moving forward.

 

Lastly, If you discover any issues with your binding or coil, we suggest reaching out to our customer service team as soon as you identify the problem. To be eligible for a full refund in the case of a malfunctioning coil, we ask that our customers reach out within three months of their order date. As mentioned previously, our customer service team is always happy to help you with any questions or issues you may have regarding your planner/notebook or our website!
