Best Pages for Meal Planning
We strongly believe your planner should work for you and make your life easier and we know that meal planning can be a huge component of your weekly schedule. Because of that, we’ve made sure to include meal planning elements in a lot of our weekly layouts in addition to extra pages dedicated to groceries, recipes, and food prep. Let’s walk you through our best pages to help you with meal planning!
LAYOUTS
HORIZONTAL 1 WEEKLY SINGLE PAGE - This layout is all about meal planning! The left side of the layout features the days of the week and the right side of the layout allows ample space to plan out each meal and write out a grocery list.
SECTIONS 2 WEEKLY SINGLE PAGE - A few of our layouts feature a small list to write out your meal plan for the week, whether it’s just one or all meals. You’ll find a similar list in our Horizontal 2 and Horizontal Half 1 and 4 Weekly Single Page layouts as well as our Sections 1 and 3 Weekly Single Page layouts.
DAILY VERTICAL - This daily layout features a space to write out your meal plans for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our Daily Horizontal 1 layout also features space to plan snacks and track your water intake.
EXTRA PAGES
GROCERIES AND MEALS - All of our extra pages related to meal planning can be found in the “Food” section of our extra pages. This one in particular is a favorite of ours! We love using the grocery list on the left with satisfying checkboxes and a place to note quantities. The right page features a helpful table to plan each meal and track the total cost of each day, giving you a great way to budget alongside your meal planning!
FITNESS AND MEALS - This is an excellent +page for tracking your exercise habits alongside your meal planning! The left page has a table for noting your exercise type and time as well as a list for goals. The right page features a table for meal planning and a space to track your water intake. There’s also space for your grocery list below.
MEAL PLANNING 1 - This +page is similar to the right page of our Horizontal 1 Weekly Single Page layout and features space to plan each meal and write out a grocery list. You can also make a note of your weekly goals and the write out a more extensive grocery list or recipes on the left page.
MEAL PLANNING 2 - If you’re looking for more in-depth meal planning that’s closely tied to an exercise program, this is the +page for you! Each day gives ample space to note all the elements of breakfast, lunch, and dinner while totaling up their calorie counts. You’ll also be able to track your exercise as well as water and vitamin intake. There’s space on the left margin to note your weight at the start and end of the week while also writing out your fitness goals and other notes.
MEAL PLANNING 3 - This +page is a nice in-between of Meal Planning 1 and 2. It features a table for planning each meal of the week while also tracking your water and vitamin intake and exercise. There’s a grocery list on the bottom right page and the lined page on the left can be used for recipes or a longer grocery list.
RECIPES - We love using this page in our planners! It’s a great place to record your favorite recipes and keep them all in one place, which makes weekly meal planning so much easier. You could even use this page to create a memorabilia recipe notebook— a perfect family heirloom full of handwritten recipes, journal entries, and family photos.
