Prepping for 2020: For Your Home
Here’s our next round of challenges to get ready for 2020! These challenges all focus on ways to get your living space fresh and prepped for the New Year:
6. Make Space – Go through your closets and cupboards and clear out things you just don’t use. Box up things you can’t quite part with for later—do whatever you gotta do to get it out of your daily routine and make some clear space in your home! Make someone else happy by donating the clothes that don’t fit you anymore instead of hoping to fit back into them someday. Treat yourself to new clothes because you deserve to wear things that you love that fit you comfortably! Make 2020 about embracing, celebrating and loving your body.
7. Tidy Your Paperwork – Pull out that tray of paperwork hiding in the corner of your kitchen and get to work! Gather your important documents (2019 receipts, medical paperwork, memorabilia, etc.) and file them away. Throw out receipts/coupons/papers you don’t need. If catching up on The Crown or your favorite true crime podcast helps you while working on this, we’re all for it! :)
8. Bag Lady – Take time to clean out your purse, wallet, or bag. You might find that lipstick you were looking for! (Or in our case, the 10 tubes of Burt’s Bee’s chapstick you thought you lost.) :)
9. Check Off Lingering Cleaning Tasks – Wash windows and baseboards, dust ceiling fans and bookcases and knock out all those cleaning tasks you don’t regularly do. Treat yourself and hire it out! :) Or pay your younger family members to do it while they’re visiting (it will keep them busy and give you an hour of peace!)
10. Don’t Forget the Car – If you’re like us, your car is like a second home, which means it takes a decent beating of traffic and debris. Make some time to clean out your car and take out everything you don’t need. (We know, the trunk can be so great for storage, but you need room for bringing groceries home!) Give that carseat a clean up. Bonus points if you put gas in your car. :)
