Layouts to Help Organize Your Week and Reach Your Goals

Here at Golden Coil we all have our favorite layouts and combinations when customizing a new planner. For the fitness enthusiasts and meal planners among us one of our favorite combinations is adding the Fitness and Meal Planning layouts side by side and just before each Weekly/Daily layout. This combination sets you up perfectly to plan your week ahead. Come Sunday afternoon, you can easily sit down and map out your schedule, workouts, meals, and groceries for the week.

Fitness Layout

We love this layout because there is ample room to jot down activities, time, note your pace, conditions, etc. The Weekly Goal section on the bottom helps you think through your intentions for the week. Even if you don’t manage to squeeze in every workout, planning ahead will set you up for success.

If you’re trying to start a fitness routine or stick to your goals, focus on activities you enjoy, and stack your habits to help you build a routine you can keep. One of our favorite habit stacks is choosing a new show to watch and instead of bingeing it on the sofa, save it for walks on the treadmill or reward yourself with an episode and a good stretch after completing a strength workout. Check off your workouts as you go and set small goals you can celebrate as you complete them!

Meal Planning Layout

Meal planning often causes a love/hate reaction! Some people love it, some find it way too much planning and work. This layout is great for the meal planning lovers out there. There’s plenty of room to map out meals and space to jot down groceries you will need for the week. We like to highlight the meals we can make ahead and then prep them on Sundays or at the beginning of the week.

If you’re new to meal planning, you can search our website for lots of great tips we’ve shared over the years. If meal planning feels too overwhelming, we recommend thinking of one thing you can make ahead for breakfast or lunch and cook one protein you can use throughout your week. If you need some inspiration, we love to prep these recipes on Sundays for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

We’d love to hear from you! Tell us which layouts you find the most helpful as you organize your week ahead. And give us your best fitness and meal planning tips! Have you found any tricks that help you stick to your exercise and fitness routines? What are your favorite recipes to cook ahead and help you with your week?
