2025 Limited Edition Design Contest

Surprise! We are holding a limited edition design contest! This design contest is one of a kind, and different from our annual contest! Read on for the details.

We are so excited to be holding another design contest this year! We are looking for up to 8 awesome designs and we want YOU to be one of those designers! The contest will begin September 15, 2025 at 8:00 AM MST and ends October 6, 2025 at 11:59 PM MST. 

TO ENTER: 

    1. Create your design 

    2. Post your design to Instagram in a new post or reel.

    3. Tag @golden.coil in the caption and use the hashtag #GCxlimited25

    4. Submit your design file and information here: https://form.typeform.com/to/mjBxL5Hf

The Golden Coil team will be choosing up to 8 designs for a limited edition fall launch. We will be printing only 100 covers of each design. The winning designers will be notified on or before October 13, 2025. The winners will be announced on our instagram account as a lead up to the fall launch.

WINNINGS: 

• $200 award 

• 2 planners or notebooks 

RULES: 

• A maximum of ONE entry per person may be submitted 

• Submissions must be of YOUR original work and in a new Instagram post - please do not tag old design posts 

• Designs must comply with design specifications 

◦ Golden Coil trademarks on front and back 

◦ Original design must be at least 9 x 12 

◦ No additional gold foiling on front or back covers 

SUBMISSION SUGGESTIONS:

    • We have found that people respond to designs best when they are photoshopped onto one of our planners. We have provided some templates in our dropbox folder for you to use. 

    • We recommend avoiding large, empty swaths of color in your design. This prevents banding when the cover is printed. Multiple color elements tend to do best. 

    • Note that your design will need to large enough to wrap around the edges of the planner. Please make sure that your pattern/design extends the full width and length of 9x12. We have included a planner cover template in the dropbox folder for you to use.

    • When creating your design, think of what kind of design you would want to be on the planner you purchase.

LICENSE: 

  • Golden Coil will license the winning design for the duration Nov 1st 2025- January 31, 2026. The license will be exclusive to the stationery industry.
